"Every week, Anglicare’s Community Pantry vans bring affordable food and real connection to people who are struggling — sharing the love of God in the most practical way possible. This program runs entirely on the generosity of supporters like you."

Andrew Ford
Group Executive Community and Mission, Anglicare

Our vans go the distance, so people looking for help don’t have to.

Across Sydney and regional NSW many households are struggling to keep up. After paying rent, there’s little left for food. And where can they go? Who will they ask for help?

In 64 communities across our State, Anglicare’s Community Pantry vans arrive, every fortnight. They cover great distances — from Lalor Park to Lightning Ridge, Blacktown to the Blue Mountains.

Samuel found the Community Pantry when everything fell apart.

People like Samuel, who walked across the street from the car he slept in, the first morning he came to the Community Pantry.

It was there he met Dennis, an Anglicare chaplain, who helped him access more than low-cost food. Samuel found connection. A community who helped him get back on his feet, finding a job, a home, and the love of God.

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Anglicare acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the original and ongoing custodians of the lands and waters on which we live and work.

Inspired by the gospel of reconciliation in Jesus Christ, Anglicare's vision for reconciliation is a nation in which Australia's First Peoples are restored in dignity, respect, empowerment and opportunity.
